Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is an American-born British sitar player and music artist. She was the first and youngest woman to be awarded a British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is Ravi Shankar's student, and the daughter. Born in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping to London and New Delhi. She gave her debut performance at New Delhi at the tender 13 years old. She graduated in 1999 from her high schooling at Encinitas CA. Anouskha is still a young woman, but she has a very amazing career in recording and performing. She regularly accompanies her father during performances, something she's been doing for several years. The first album she released as a solo artist, Anourag, was released in 1998. In 2002, she released her Grammy Nominated Live At Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing in many of the biggest venues as well, she has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka isn't just a musician. She also published Bapi The Heart of My Life, in the year 2002. The book is a biography that pays tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. In addition, she acted. in the 2003 movie Dance Like a Man, where she portrayed the role of a Bharat dancer in the form of a young girl. Anoushka Shakar's career as a professional will only continue to grow and expand. We can look for exciting interesting things coming from her. Anoushka was a frequent traveler and spent lots of her time in London and Delhi throughout her childhood. After that, she moved to California to finish high school. Anoushka started her music studies at the age of nine. Four years later, she made her music debut with the sitar Delhi for her father's 70th birthday celebration. Alongside her father, he toured the world Anoushka was able to accumulate a variety of experience performing on stage at Carnegie Hall while still in her teens, performing in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival as well as performing alongside George Harrison.
